Sally Haughey

Sally is on a mission to bring wonder to early childhood education worldwide!
Wonder Based Teaching is a passion of Sally Haughey, a 25-year veteran of early childhood education. Out of her teaching experience and the wisdom of many mentors, colleagues and educational movements – there arose in her a profound understanding. There is a deep need for child-led education methods that allow the child’s natural interests and passions to carry them through the developmentally appropriate stages of growth into personhood. When this happens – the potential and capacities of the child for being a true learner are a natural outcome.
In 2010 she started her Fairy Dust Teaching blog. In 2011 she began offering a number of online courses that now have participants in over 60 countries as well as two yearly conferences featuring world experts and talented unknown teachers who promote play-based education and the honoring of children’s rights. She now offers a full training and online certification in Wonder Based Teaching. She is currently working on three soon to be published books and has taken up residence in Paris while traveling the world teaching Wonder Based Education through keynotes, workshops and trainings.
