Have you heard this before?
- The children play all day. When do they learn?
- Children need to learn before they play.
- Play is just babysitting my child, what are they learning?
- Play is good but my child does not know his letters. When will he start learning?
Me oh my! It is time to put our stake in the ground!
Play is a foundational mode of learning.
I know all too well the frustration of hearing “play is not learning.” It seems that the academic pressures on young children is only increasing. It is hard. Hard on the children. Hard on us.
That’s why I am hosting a conference focused on play. This conference was created to give you practical emergent curriculum inspiration and arm you with the knowledge that play is truly an academic foundation.
I have gathered some of my heroes of play based learning.
Speakers & Sessions
Each session is designed for play based learning ideas that you can immediately use in your teaching practice.
